Project manager

job description

The project manager is responsible for running translation and localization projects from the initial quote and setup until delivery and archiving. The project manager ensures in co-operation with our external SLVs and freelancers that quality, delivery times and budget meet initial planning.

tasks

1. Coordination of localization and translation projects in close cooperation with SLVs and freelancers.
2. Account Management
3. Scheduling in co-operation with our clients and vendors
4. Creating quotations and budget control
5. Selecting, managing and co-ordinating our vendors
6. Creation of "Localization Kits"
7. QA of translations
8. Support of vendors and clients during project phase as the central point of co-ordination
9. TM creation and maintenance
10. Pre- and post-processing of files using a TM tool
11. Project and client specific information management
12. Help to optimize processes

your profile

1. University degree or equivalent in translation, linguistics, computer sciences, economics or any humanities subject
2. Fluent German and English, proficiency in another language an advantage
3. Very good MS Office skills
4. Experienced in using Translation Memory tools and/or software localization tools
5. Experience as project manager or in another client-facing position
6. Very good communication skills (telephone, e-mail)
7. Organizational and multitasking talent
8. "Common sense"

You could start asap in our offices in Brannenburg, Germany, not far from Munich and Salzburg. You will find excellent public transport conditions (45 minutes from Munich East by train or car) as well as beautiful surroundings with many possibilities for outdoor activities.
